Dimitris Drandakis of mediastalker on media content security
Dimitris Drandakis: Back in the late '00s, I worked as a software engineer in Athens – Greece. After 10 years in the field, I felt I was coming to a stand-still career so I decided to move to an Ionian Sea island, switching to the tourism industry. That proved to be a wise decision since the economic turbulence hit my country harder than all the rest and tourism was one of the few untouched industries. A few years later when software engineering knocked on my door again with Mediastalker, my heart beat strongly. I put on the CTO cap and the rest is history in the making.

How to develop machine learning skills in all of your company's employees
Everyone loves Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data science (DS), and it's probably not going to change for the next decade or so. Still, most people only have a general idea of what data science is and what machine learning algorithms or AI can do. This is quite normal and a common phenomenon for all fields of expertise. Think about it: do you really know what DevOps, Support or NOC (Network Operation Center) actually do? Sure, as tech professionals we can probably explain it better than people who aren't part of the industry, but in most cases it's pretty hard to really understand what other people are doing if you've never done it yourself.

Google RankBrain - The New AI Behind Search
Google – they keep coming up with ever-more code named technologies, keeping everyone on the edge of their seats and most people in a state of permanent confusion. The rules and recommendations change constantly, with many webmasters still using hopelessly out-dated SEO techniques that do more harm than good. The good news is that if you follow just one simple rule, which is to provide the highest quality of content that you can, it is hard to fall afoul of Google unless you deliberately provoke them by undermining your good efforts. The bad news is that RankBrain is the code name for Google's new artificial intelligence system that analyses page content and tries to put the content into context. The purpose of this is to decide how relevant the words are on the page when matching them to searches.
How are publishers taking up AI? AI for the written word.
Publishing is no longer about writing just a book. Therefore publishing is not just dependent on itself but on other mediums as well. A best selling book makes it to a Netflix show or a movie and that in turn gives the book sales another fillip. So content in its traditional form - i.e as a book is not dying anytime. In fact, the need for good content is greater than ever as players like Netflix and HBO keep on searching for the next bestselling story to be made into a tv show or a movie.
